Portrait of a Juice Seller

Chakra Varthy : Portrait of juice seller
Chakra.Varthy
This one is aptly titled 'Chakra.Varthy" suggested by my friend 'Anirban'.

Phototip: Capturing motion through camera is one of the photography elements which are not noted by human eye. This is one of the few rare things that camera can do better than eyes. Use shutter speed < 1/20 to capture motion. Ofcourse the tough part is always to keep few elements like the seller in this photograph in sharp focus. It wasn't so difficult here, since the wheel was moving at very high speed.

Processing: Sel contrast, levels, curves. Used red channel to convert to B&W.

fantastic work! I love the composition and especially the look on the guy's face. Also has HDR feel to this one4

Funny you say the HDR feel. Why so? I got similar feedback from someone
else. I have never done HDR in my life. But am glad you like the
composition.

The face is very clear even through a rapidly moving wheel. It is an unusual angle.  Ignorant about photography tricks as I am, I can appreciate only the subject of the photograph. :)

forget the tricks and technique. Its all no good if the subject is not interesting enough. So well what you like is what matters! thanks

There is so much color in this photo despite it being a b/w pic. Super pic!

The look of concentration and the motion of the machinery is so well caught, making this a stand out image.
